Tom Durkin opts for renewal of contract of Triple Crown

NEW YORK (AP)--Horse racing Triple Crown is looking for a new voice.Veteran announcer Tom Durkin said on Tuesday that is increasing its concert asking for the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes, television. Durkin cited the stress of the work as one of the reasons for the decision not to renew his contract with NBC Sports.Durkin has called the last 30 Triple Crown races several networks and the spokesman of Kentucky Derbys.NBC last 13 Adam Freifeld said a replacement will be appointed soon. Derby this year the run may 7 Durkin will continue to serve as a track announcer for aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga.
